2006 has seen Softcore movies rise in Straight while Alt content moved up the gay charts.

AEBN is in a unique position to collect and report data on what’s popular in adult entertainment based on high-volume sales. Here are the year-end trends for 2006 in our Straight and Gay Theaters.

STRAIGHT

Anal, Interracial, and Cumshot were the top three categories of the year in the Straight Theater. Softcore moved up +62 points, followed by Party Girls (+54 points) and Schoolgirls (+45). Pregnant moved down -41 points, followed by Male Domination (-34) and Oddities (-34).

GAY

The year’s top three Gay categories were Anal, Bareback, and Muscles. Alt moved up +21 points, followed by Parody (+20) and Bubble Butt (+19). Chubs moved down -22 points, Dildo moved down -17, and Hidden Camera moved down -15.
